The Popular Show Campaign 4 Introduces the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, recently appointed game master Brennan Mulligan has kept fans guessing with deep backstory, a colorful mix of heroes, and a gripping narrative including divine entities, evil spirits, and malevolent powers increasing in power within Dol-Makjar.

Heads-up: Key plot points for Episode 3 of the new season are included.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

The third episode ended with a major cliffhanger and introduced the initial group of characters who will separate from the primary party to begin their independent quest, apart from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team features the determined fighter (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney), Wicander (Sam), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

This explains, the first four episodes of the new season serve as an Prelude, connecting the personal journeys before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Seekers.

The Nature of the Soldiers Table

Per the DM, the warrior group is for players who prefer a traditionally charged fight-heavy gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are few and far between.

Upon first impression, characters like the hesitant healer Wicander might appear unsuited, but the events of episode 3 demonstrate why these specific adventurers are perfectly fit for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

First, the party understands precisely where to proceed after a brutal initial meeting with the enemy group.

A former ally of the deceased character—whose death kicked off the narrative’s action—used the enemy for his selfish purposes, breaking into the secret base, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the powerful objects to dispose of.

Casimir then paid off his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the remote area, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each adventurer has a individual motive to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the close ally and trusted friend, seeks retribution.
  • Kattigan is familiar with the northern area and warns that it is a hostile place.
  • The strong character and The cleric, having disobeyed his relatives’ demands to kill Teor and instead rescued him, have nowhere else to go.
  • But, their status as key figures in the powerful family could help the party access locations they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character pledged a eternal obligation to Wicander for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.

Wanted and Hunted

Finally, all of them are hunted by the powers that govern the city for a range of causes, making remaining behind no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The character are recognized lawbreakers.
  • The strong figure and Wicander defied the powerful family and the horde of evil beings they are aligned with.
  • The target is marked for death by House Halovar.

This means them little choice but to head to the remote area in search of the antagonist.

What’s Next?

Based on episode three’s Cooldown, we find out that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the remaining eight cast members to round up the Questers and Planners groups.

Viewers can look forward to discovering which adventurers will be where in the season’s final introductory chapter, streaming live on October 24.
